2038 UNIX BUG

NAME

2038 UNIX BUG

SYNOPSIS

2038

DESCRIPTION

The Year 2038 problem is a computer issue that may cause certain systems and applications to fail on or after January 19, 2038. It arises due to the use of a 32-bit signed integer to represent Unix timestamps, which will wrap around and become negative on that date. Many modern systems use 64-bit timestamps or have implemented other solutions to mitigate the issue, but legacy systems and applications may still be vulnerable.
